Argentine Ant

The Argentine ant is a one node, small, shiny, brown and with one size worker.  Found throughout the southern U. S. and in Southern California.  They nest outdoors under logs, concrete slabs, debris and mulch.  They build large colonies and can move rapidly.  In winter they move indoors.  Feed on sweets, fats, oils.  May switch away from bait.
