Astro typically doesn’t cause skin or throat irritation, unlike many other pyrethroids labeled for lawn and ornamental use. Plus, Astro doesn’t leave an offensive odor during or after application, unlike the organophosphates and carbamates. And, even better, homeowners prefer Astro because there is no visible residue and it is a low-rate insecticide.

Easy to apply

Apply Astro when insects appear or when you notice they’ve been feeding. Astro may be applied with ground and aerial equipment.

For foliar insect applications, apply 4 to 8 ounces per 100 gallons completely covering foliage.

For trunk and stem applications to control borers and beetles, apply 1.0 – 5.3 quarts per 100 gallons completely covering trunks and stems 10 feet from ground.

For perimeter treatments to control unwelcome household pests such as ants, sowbugs, cockroaches, boxelder bugs, and silverfish, apply a 0.5% emulsion to a band of soil and vegetation 6 to 10 feet around and adjacent to the house.
