FMC Professional Solutions Launches Talstar® Select Insecticide
Same Trusted Active Ingredient Controls Tough Nursery Pests
PHILADELPHIA, April 4, 2007 – FMC Professional Solutions, a division of FMC Corporation (NYSE: FMC) announces the launch of Talstar® Select insecticide for the nursery industry.
Talstar Select insecticide is a tough multi-insecticide that provides long-lasting residual control of blackvine weevils, aphids, scale and other nursery pests, without fear of damaging sensitive plants.

In addition to providing effective, long-lasting control of a broad spectrum of nursery and greenhouse pests, Talstar? Select insecticide has excellent soil binding properties, so it stays where it is placed, providing excellent residual protection of delicate plants. Talstar Select is non-irritating, non-staining and contains no odorous or plant-damaging solvents, so it can be applied to open blooms and color bracts right up to the day of shipment. Once it dries, it is virtually impossible to tell where it has been sprayed. Talstar Select leaves no unsightly residues and causes no phytotoxicity. In addition, it is compatible with other products for flexible tank mixing.
FMC Professional Solutions also offers Talstar® N granular insecticide for the nursery industry. Talstar N provides long-lasting control of a broad spectrum of pests, including preventive control of white grubs, fungus gnats and Diaprepes root weevil. Talstar N is also labeled for soil mix, making it the treatment of choice for fire ant quarantine.
Talstar N is effective at low doses and is a non-odorous, non-irritating formulation. After testing on more than 400 plant species and varieties, Talstar N has shown no evidence of phytotoxicity when used at recommended rates.
