Transport® GHP Insecticide Receives Registration Broadening Its Label to Include Indoor Use in the State of California

PHILADELPHIA, Monday, March 30, 2009 – FMC Professional Solutions, a business unit of FMC Corporation (NYSE: FMC), announces it has received registration from the State of California approving Transport® GHP insecticide for indoor, non-food use.

Transport GHP is a broad label non-repellent product formulated for the treatment of a wide range of general pests, such as ants, cockroaches, springtails, earwigs and over thirty other tough indoor and outdoor pests.

“Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) in California have had impressive results with Transport GHP outdoors on Argentine Ants. Now with the indoor label, PMPs are not limited to an indoor or outdoor product. They now have the versatility of a non-repellent product that transfers among ants, cockroaches, bed bugs, crickets, and other social insects said Ryan Weber, Product Manager, FMC Professional Solutions.

“It is another example of the dedication that FMC Professional Solutions has made to delivering customer-driven products to the pest management industry,” Ryan added. “Transport GHP being able to deliver a fast knockdown on a wide spectrum of pests, both indoors and outdoors, makes it an incredibly valuable resource for PMPs seeking strong control and looking to reduce callbacks.”

In California, the new indoor use label allows Transport GHP to be applied as a spot, crack & crevice, pinstream, coarse or low pressure spray applications, making it ideal for general pests such as ants, centipedes, cockroaches, spiders, roaches, fleas, ticks, flies and silverfish. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved Transport GHP for indoor use nationally in late December, 2008.

Transport GHP has earned a bold reputation for its efficacy, even on the worst ant infestations and other problematic general pest problems. With an optimized transfer effect, Transport GHP works fast to achieve complete colony knockdown.

A recent study concluded that if 10 percent of ants treated with Transport GHP stayed within the colony, then the rest of the colony would die within 24 hours – an unbelievable transfer effect among ants.* What’s more, the dual-action formula of Transport GHP helps ensure a long-lasting residual, controlling insects for 90 days or more, depending on the pest.

Available in convenient 0.3-ounce water soluble bags, Transport GHP is designed to help minimize measuring and pouring errors. This form of dose packaging also works to reduce technician exposure to chemicals. Plus, the low dose technology Transport GHP makes it a more environmentally-responsible option.

FMC Professional Solutions portfolio also includes the mainstay Talstar® Professional and Talstar® PL line of liquid and granular insecticides, Transport termiticide/insecticide (TI), Dragnet® SFR for indoor flea control, Cynoff® insecticide and BaseLine® Pretreat insecticide.
